Through close relationships with established UK manufacturers, the comprehensive Glen Esk range includes highland dress kilt belts, sgian dubhs, buckles, waist plates, sporran chains, kilt pins, plaid brooches, police belts and ID wallets, and ceremonial and parade belts.

The Glen Esk brand was created in 1992 by GM Belt Supplies, a company supplying trouser belts, jeans belts and braces to independent menswear shops and department stores. In 1995, GM Belt Supplies became a customer of Dalman & Narborough, a Birmingham-based specialist in the manufacture of ceremonial equipment for the military and police forces. This distribution partnership opened up the supply of Glen Esk products to highlandwear shops in Scotland, starting with kilt belts. The brand has since become a market leader for highland dress across the world.

Dalman & Narborough was absorbed into Ammo & Company in 2012, with the company buying GM Belt Supplies in 2023. In doing so, Glen Esk became an Ammo & Company brand.
